Cuphea hyssopifolia Allyson Lavender
This small, bushy shrub is a native to Mexico and is sometimes called Mexican Heather. The semi-woody stems produce numerous lateral branches of foliage sprays holding small starlike flowers in pale purple, white or pink. The plant thrives well in broken shades and should be grown away from hot and direct sunlight, or else, it will loose its bright green color. It can be used as a ground cover or as borders in harmony with other ornamentals. To achieve full growth, the plant should be watered regularly with occasional application of liquid fertilizer.
