Avoid the holiday madness and spend a relaxing evening creating a fresh evergreen wreath. In this workshop, you will make and take a wreath out of fresh greens, and other winter seasonal elements. Wreath making is such a versatile and valuable floral skill to have, and you'll also love how simple it is too! Just in time to celebrate the holiday season, perfect for decorating your own home, or gift making.
This workshop will be taught by two local flower growers, Amanda Cook, owner of Cook’s Market and Karen Pendleton, owner of Pendleton’s Country Market. We will be hosted by the Selven Family at Bluejacket Winery and Vineyard. Their tasting room is spacious enough for you and your friends to enjoy an evening of fun, and fragrant festivities before the holidays really kick into gear. In this workshop you'll learn:
Basic greenery prep and care.
We'll be working with wreath forms to create your lovely designs.
Demonstration and hands on design time with individual instruction.
You'll be taking your gorgeous wreath home with you at the end of the night!
We will provide instruction, assistance, and all the materials and tools for you to create your own evergreen wreath to take home. In addition to having a variety of fresh evergreens for you to work with, we will also have other materials for you to incorporate to give your wreath a special creative touch. Wreath making is a great skill to learn and for this, no experience necessary.
