Past Mazes at
Pendleton's Country Market

1999
The "Turtle Island" Corn Maze

The turtle was believed to be sacred by the Native Americans. These first Americans told stories of how the first turtle swam the ocean and carried the land on her back. They told of how the beaver packed mud on the turtle's back and made the land that is now North America. Also... the Ornate Box Turtle is the Kansas State Reptile!

2000
The "Butterfly Wishes" Corn Maze

As the Legend Goes: If anyone desires a wish to come true they must first capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it. Since a butterfly makes no sound the butterfly cannot reveal the wish to anyone. In gratitude for giving the butterfly its freedom, the wish is granted. Always give the butterfly its freedom for your wishes to come true.

2001
"X-Fish" Corn Maze

The fossilized remains of the Xiphactinus fish which swam in the sea covering Kansas during the Cretaceous period was the inspiration for this maze. We all learned a lot about Kansas Fossils!

2002
"Amaizing Bugs" Corn Maze

A giant bee along with a grasshopper and a lady bug were hidden in the giant corn stalks on our farm this summer.
